Happy 5th Birthday!

Addie celebrated her fifth birthday with a Lion King party at home with family and friends. Everyone was invited to wear their wildest jungle attire, and we played games and had snacks inspired by Simba and Nala.

Addie celebrated with her friends Xavier, Kenley, Lana, Adriana, Lara, Kai, Finn, Olive, Ozzie, Zaden, and Lilly. Grandpa, Auntie Jen, Uncle Adam, and Grandmas Kristi and Julie were also there. The children enjoyed the lion pinata, pin the nose on the lion, hunting for peanuts, and making jungle juice.

Addie's big surprise was a new bike from her grandmas! She also got a Hello Kitty scooter from Mom and Dad, and lots of fun gifts from her friends. We can't believe our little girl is 5 years old!!

Addie 4.5 Year Pictures

Auntie Jen took some beautiful pictures of Addie in the neighbor's garden when she was about 4.5 years old. I love looking at them and comparing to her 2-year and 3-year pictures to see how much she has grown.

Addelyn, you are turning into a lovely young lady!

A White Christmas

We went to South Dakota for Christmas this year and had a wonderful time!  Addie got to see snow for the first time (that she remembered), so it was very special for her.  She spent a lot of time outside sledding and playing with her cousins.  She even got to build a snowman with cousins Paisley and Ivy.

We spent Christmas Eve with Grandpa Pat and Aunt Jennie.  On Christmas morning Addie was very excited to see what Santa brought her. We spent the morning with Grandma Kristi and Uncle Jeremy and Chelsea. She of course had no shortage of gifts!  Some of her favorites were a camping set, a stand-up microphone, working appliances for her play kitchen, and a tool set.  Santa even left her a very special note with a picture of a gift he had delivered to our house in Florida - a pet stroller that she had been wanting for a long time!

On Christmas afternoon, we went to the Parsley's farm for a Baumberger family Christmas celebration.  Most of the family was there, and we even had a special visit from Santa.  Addie sat on his lap and was so proud!  She also loved going for rides in the sled behind the "Gator" - lots of fun times with her cousins!

We also made a trip to Great-Grandma and Grandpa Mungers house and had fun with counsins there and played the traditional Bingo game. We also spent an evening with the Schoenfelders and a day at Dean and Sue Baumberger's farm. Addie still loves to see all the animals, especially all the little kitties. She also spent a fun afternoon at Great-Grandma Dorothy's house and took rides on the sled behind the snowmobile. She just loved playing in the snow!!

It was a very memorable trip and makes us think about moving back to South Dakota one day....
